On January 15th 2021, our community had a chance to welcome Mr. Tim Frost – CEO & Project Lead, Mr. Jan Strandberg  – Growth and Marketing Lead, Mr. Justin Wright –CFO & COO to join in an AMA to give fruitful information about the key features and roadmap of YIELD project. 
This AMA was held by CryptoFamily Group – the top crypto community in Vietnam, where investors and traders can obtain the lastest news and signals from bot/ admins, as well as discuss and share investment experiences in the crypto space.
At this AMA session, three representatives of YIELD team went live to greet the community and introduce in detail YIELD project – a licensed and regulated FinTech company that enables anyone to invest in decentralized finance regardless of their financial or technical knowledge. Their mission is to unlock the full potential of DeFi and make it available to the world!

Below are some main points of this AMA: 

Question 1: 1. First, could you please introduce your team and YIELD App? Tell me some advanced features that differentiate YIELD App from other DeFi projects.

Mr. Tim: I’d go first. Hi everone, I’m Tim. I have worked in Wirex, where I was part of the original team. I joined the team to run marketing, business development, and some operations. I then left Wirex (3.5 million clients) to start a consulting firm in 2016. I worked closely with Paxful and QTUM during this time. I spent a few months in office in Shanghai to help launch the ICO in early 2017. I also work with AntShares and my firm ran marketing and PR for AntShares in western markets before they rebranded to NEO.

So with all the companies, its a variety of ways I worked with them. Marketing, PR, operations, business development. I then joined EQIBank and helped them acquire a banking license and took them to market. The bank is now in process of a public listing event in Canada. I wanted to get really involved in crypto FinTech and in June I founded YIELD.app and have been building this company for the last months and preparing to take it to market.

Mr. Jan: Hey everyone, I have been a growth hacker and digital nomad for more than 10+ years and leading the growth at YIELD. I’ve helped successfully scale-up companies in the sphere and I was the head of marketing at Paxful, now the largest P2P marketplace worldwide. I’ve scaled up Paxful from 50 000 users to more than 4.5 million and from revenue perspective from 100k$ USD to 45 million USD weekly.

Mr. Justin: Hi, I have spent most of my career in capital markets and fund management before moving over to FinTech, this is my first venture in the crypto space. I have spent the last 6 years building out Beehive P2P, the largest SME P2P lender in the Middle East and having been introduced to DeFi by Tim and seeing the potential to really take crypto to the mainstream, I jumped at the chance to be part of the founding team @YIELDapp

CF: Thanks for the detailed introduction of the team. Please tell me some outstanding features of your project.

Mr. Justin: From MVP launch we are offering 1 DeFi investment product. We are making it easy to put money on YIELD App and your crypto will essentially be invested in dozens of high yielding and safe DeFi products through us. Invest as little as $100 on the platform. Mr. Tim: Well quite simply no traditional bank will be able to pay you daily APY which is powered by DeFi. We offer our clients a guaranteed minimum of 12% APY while many traditional banks are offering negative interest rates.

Question 3: I see YIELD App has started some promotional campagins in Vietnamese market. Are there any upcoming plans or hot events to attract more Vietnamese users in this new year?

Mr. Justin: We want DeFi to be accessible for everyone. We aim to support fiat gateways in South East Asia in Q2 2021. We plan to open eventually to all markets but our main focus will be South East Asia and Europe.

Mr. Tim: We are doing this a few way. We are now building a large and active community. We have many programs that anyone can earn YLD and share in the success. Jan and our team have big plans to build local and regional marketing plans.

The DEFI space is very young and is changing rapidly. My question is, how flexible are your tools to adapt to changes in the DEFI crypto space? How do you make #YIELD pupular ? @CryptoFreed0mm

Mr. Justin: We are managing investments on behalf of our users. Our first fund will be $ neutral and stable coin backed. We are coding dynamic hedging tools in our proprietary portfolio management system to introduce dynamic hedging against impermanent loss for future product capabilities alongside funding rate arbitrage amongst other automated approaches to the rapidly evolving opportunities growing in the DeFi ecosystem. The first product is a low-risk minimum APY % guaranteed.

Mr. Tim: DeFi is the natural progression that Bitcoin kickstarted for a more efficient financial system, inclusive indeed. With the experience of the team, we are well prepared to adapt to the changes and provide the best banking experience through YIELD.APP. We are evolving daily our strategies and continue to build out our tools.

Question 2 from the form:
As an investor, safety is always one of the biggest concerns. What kind of security protection do you provide for the YILED platform? How to ensure the safety of customer assets? @jeckkawis

Mr. Justin: Transparency, trust, and ease of use. We are creating a neobank for our customers built around the DeFi asset class to create superior returns, a frictionless customer experience and continuously evolving products that are useful without all the stress and cost you’d incur, if you tried to do it yourself.

Mr. Tim: We actually have one of the top Security teams in crypto and also our advisor board is full of smart contract experts. We do KYC for every user and this is to ensure that we can have a platform that is safe and doesn’t produce risk for other users.

Mr. Justin: We have insured wallets and custody with BitGo wallets. We also have a team with 24/7 monitoring of all investments with social and technical due diligence that is performed.

Mr. Jan: We have built a proprietary wallet to manage interactions with any protocol in which we are engaging in liquidity mining. It handle’s all the automation required for executing our yield farming strategies.

Question 3. $YLD token now is based on #Ethereum platform. But recently there are many problems concerning the transaction fee and scalability…
Why did you choose Ethereum over other Block chains? And how do you plan to solve these problems? @Minhlie

Mr. Justin: Put simply, we will be chain agnostic. As we grow we will move more strategies from our sandbox over to our portfolio products. For the launch and protection of our users, we will start with one foot in front of the other. We’re building IP in our service delivery model by putting together a front-end simple application that is familiar to everyone. At the backend, we have a team of analysts, quants, portfolio managers, and developers that are building an automated allocation, analysis, and secure portfolio management suite that doesn’t exist today but is designed to maximize opportunity regardless of the pools and farms we interact with.

Mr. Tim: Our token is issued on Ethereum to be compatible with major chains, however, for investment, we look at opportunities on all major blockchains.

Most of the protocols that we intend to use and invest in, are on Ethereum, so we saw it as a perfect fit. We will be doing crosschains in the future and also work with other blockchains. We hope that ETH 2.0 will solve some of the high gas issues and also the slowness.

Mr. Jan: For 2021, we hope to launch our web platform and mobile apps. We’ll also be working on fiat on ramps and adding more crypto like ETH and BTC to the platform 😉 stay tuned on @YIELD_VN for the latest updates!

Question 1: Any partner who has a big influence in the development of the YELD project?

Mr. Justin: Thank you for your question. We are targeting a global audience from day one, already working with and continuing to build out alliances with other professional actors in the DeFi space. Some of these are technology-led, all of them are knowledge-driven with the aim of constant improvement and to pass the benefits back to our customers.

Question 2: Participate with the Click of a Button with YIELD. Is this truly achievable and if yes, how do you do it like non-tech elderly people can use it too?

Mr. Justin: This is exactly the reasons we are building YIELD APP. DeFi is complex, high gas fees, and a lot of fraud. We aggregate funds and can invest and earn high yields where its impossible to replicate our strategies without large sums of capital. We want DeFi to be accessible for everyone.

Question 3: Trust is very important in business. So, what makes investors, customers and users feel safe when working with Your project? And how will you get the trust of many users that have negative thoughts about Blockchain and DeFi?Trust is very important in business. Mr. Tim: Transparency, consistency, and good communication. There is no shortcut and this is my 3rd digital bank. My first 2 are very successful and there is a formula we follow to build trust and earn client deposits and investment.

Question 4: Will Yield App also have a Lite Version?

Mr. Justin: It isn’t planned. DevOps will analyze this option if it can benefit the end users and the ease-of-use UI/UX we have in mind. Thank you.

Question 5: 90% of your Net Platform Fees generated on YIELD are transferred into the YLD Insurance Fund… Can you explain what this funds will specifically be used for…and what cases this insurance funds cover for?

Mr. Tim: We are insuring the platform 2 ways. One is we have insured wallets and custody from BitGo. The second is we are taking a percentage of revenue generated and aggregating this into an insurance pool. This pool will be used in case of needs to cover any potential losed. Eventually this will become an reinsurance product.

This week we are modifying our utility of YLD after feedback from legal council. We will provide users with an APY boost guarentee from 12% to 20% by holding YLD.
