On December 1st 2021, our community had a chance to welcome Mrs. Cynthia Huang - Head of Growth to join an AMA to deliver fruitful information about the key features and roadmap of the project.
This AMA was held by CryptoFamily Group – the top crypto community in Vietnam, where investors and traders can obtain the latest news and signals from bot/ admins, as well as discuss and share investment experiences in the crypto space.

PART I: INTRODUCTION OF DTRAVEL
1. Firstly, please introduce about your team and DTravel.
Mrs. Cynthia Huang: Dtravel is a decentralized, global home sharing community that facilitates accommodation discovery, bookings and payments, with lower fees than other home sharing platforms. Community members are able to make and receive payments with traditional currencies and popular cryptocurrencies, including the utility token that powers Dtravel: TRVL.
But we’re much more than just a home sharing platform. Dtravel is a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO): a community-owned and governed ecosystem that operates for the benefit of its community members, composed of hosts, guests, contributors and TRVL token holders. We have an ambitious and exciting goal of becoming the largest DAO in the world, especially outside of crypto.
I'm extremely proud of our team and who I get to work with. One of the strongest advantages that Dtravel has is our contributors and advisors. We have people who are veterans in the home sharing and travel industries, who are experts in regulations, operations, business development, design and technology. We have entrepreners and established executives from blockchain and crypto projects who essentially innovated new mechanisms in the crypto space.
2. Next, can you share with us the achievement of DTravel so far?
Mrs. Cynthia Huang: Dtravel has already had over 200K listings signed up within 30 days of launching our website in June. We also launched our booking platform earlier in November so we’re live for bookings. We’ve partnered with Travala to incorporate TRVL as a payment into their booking platform.

3. Could you update any hot news or big events of DTravel to attract more new users?
Mrs. Cynthia Huang: We have big partnerships coming up that will bring more hosts into our community. We also have partnerships to drive demand for bookings and to attract other crypto communities into ours such as the Travala one with more to come.
Our Premium Membership NFT will be released shortly which will encourage travelers to use Dtravel for their bookings and we’ll also have referral and ambassador programs next year to encourage and reward people for helping Dtravel grow. These are just a few of the ways but we have many more coming.

What features of DTravel's technology and products do you think will be most beneficial to your success? What kind of revenue does DTravel generate to keep the project running, and what are your ambitions for attracting more users in the future?
Mrs. Cynthia Huang: One of the strongest advantages that Dtravel has is our contributors and advisors. We'll be sharing highlights of the contributors over the next while and we're really excited to have the community see the amazing people contributing to Dtravel.
Another strength is around all the amazing innovative things we're doing. By leveraging Web 3.0 technologies, we can bring people together around the TRVL token and use that to power the ecosystem and reward community members for their contributions to the growth of Dtravel.
We have a community funded protection pool of $1,000,000 USD which is available to hosts in the case of property damage during a stay booked on Dtravel. We use DeFi strategies to help grow the pool over time automatically so that it becomes a strong asset and offers peace of mind to Dtravel hosts.
We're also extremely excited about our Support-to-Earn program which is honestly a game changer for what work looks like in a Web 3.0 world. We know that to realize our ambitious goal of building the world's largest DAO, we're going to need a global community to help and we're leaning on our community to share their time, expertise and most of all passion for what Dtravel's vision is, in exchange for rewards.
We have an audacious and exciting goal of building the world's largest DAO. We had DeFi summer and many are saying 2022 will be the year of the DAOs. What really speaks to me about DAOs and the DAO we're building is that we're taking what is normally a closed system, if you think about typical marketplaces and platforms, and making that an open system.
We're inviting and encouraging people to come into the Dtravel system to help contribute to the growth. This changes the relationship between the platform and its members because now, anyone can contribute and most importantly, benefit from their contributions. I can't stress enough how amazing and paradigm changing this is going to be!
We have a very clear business model with revenue coming into Dtravel from booking fees. These fees go to the Community Treasury which is governed by the DAO. Dtravel has sufficient funds to get to a critical mass stage were Dtravel is sustainable from booking revenue and we’re focused on building booking volume to achieve this.

Dtravel is building a decentralized, community-owned and governed home sharing network What are the main partners that the project currently has? What agreements are you planning for the future to benefit the growth of Dtravel and the community?
Mrs. Cynthia Huang: Dtravel is backed by top tier investors such as Huobi Ventures, Kinetic Capital, AU21, Shima Capital to name a few. These investors will help us with our growth through marketing, advisory and intros.
In the home sharing economy, we announced a partnership a few of months ago with two property management companies - Ministry of Villas and In Residence. We're working on a lot of announcements actually over the next few months, so definitely stay tuned. We're pretty excited about some of the partnerships that we have in the pipeline.

Dtravel is community owned and governed by users like hosts, guests and community members, where they can have a say in important project decisions. So what is the condition for joining Dtravel DAO, do I need to have a certain amount of TRVL tokens?
Mrs. Cynthia Huang: Any TRVL holder will become a community member of the DAO and will have voting power. For members to use the booking platform, they will be required to hold 25 TRVL to ensure that their interests are aligned with the wider communities’ interests.

You said besides the TRVL Token, Dtravel also has NFTs that represent Premium Membership, These NFTs boost the utility of TRVL further. So how can these NFTs be gotten? Does this mean that holders of TRVL tokens will have less voting power/rights than the holders of the NFTs?
Mrs. Cynthia Huang: We haven’t launched the Premium Membership NFTs yet but more info will be announced shortly. You will be able to buy the NFTs will TRVL and we’ll have a waitlist where you can join so we can notify you when the NFTs launch for sale. TRVL holders will get priority for the NFT sale. Right now, only TRVL holders can vote on governance issues so holding an NFT doesn’t confer more voting ability or power.

Now that the IDO of "Dtravel" is getting closer, how can we join or participate in the IDO? Which launchpads are you looking to have your IDO? Will there be any kind of whitelisting or we only need to stake some tokens? Where/how can we get more news on that?
Mrs. Cynthia Huang: All our launch events are over now. We had 4 launch events through MEXC, Bybit, Polkastarter and Gate with over 60K participants.

PART III: BEST LIVE QUESTIONS IN CRYPTO FAMILY GROUP
1.Tokens from all projects have main utility & practical goals! So can you tell us what is the main role of your Token in the ecosystem? What are the real world utilities & use cases?
Mrs. Cynthia Huang: There are 4 main purposes for the TRVL token:
- travel
- loyalty
- governance
- protection
On the travel side, guests can pay in TRVL and hosts can receive payments in TRVL. Both hosts and guests benefit from using TRVL through givebacks and rewards.
For loyalty, we have 4 areas that we're using TRVL to encourage loyalty and growth back to Dtravel and the TRVL token:
- onboarding incentives for hosts and guests
- growth actions for hosts and guests
- airdrops
- support to earn
Obviously one of the most important uses for TRVL is around governance. Community members holding TRVL will get to participate in governance through the DAO and can participate, submit proposals, vote on submitted proposals and, ultimately, have a say on decisions that will influence the future of Dtravel.
Finally, TRVL is used to power the protection pool with $1M USD for hosts in case of property damage during a stay with Dtravel.
2. Regulation is very important. Many projects were closed in many countries due to failure to use the correct regulations and permits. In order to go global how does your team deal with these issues?
Mrs. Cynthia Huang:
Yes great question. This is an are very important to us and we have team members who have worked for many years in home sharing regulation, trust and safety to ensure that we’re thinking about these issues up front and figuring out ways to completely erase or heavily mitigate them. We’re investing into team members who have very senior experience because we know how important these questions are.
3. What are the ways for your project to generate revenue in the long run? What is the progress of business development and what are some of your commercial partnerships?
Mrs. Cynthia Huang: We have a very clear business model where we charge a max of 10% on every booking which goes into the protection pool as well as the community treasury. We have partnerships with many large property managers in the works which we’ll be announcing next year.
4. Tell us a little bit about security? Have you done an audit of the platform? Are the smart contracts error-free? What are the test results?
Mrs. Cynthia Huang: Yes this is an extremely important area for us. We’ve done audits with top auditing and security firms in the blockchain space and will be posting that on our website shortly so anyone can review the audit and see that we’ve done everything on the security side.
5. Most of users are still not aware with Blockchain & its related projects ! So, How Your Project platform create awareness about their project with NON-CRYPTO users too?
Mrs. Cynthia Huang:
Dtravel’s target market is really anyone, from those with deep levels of crypto experience to those who are “crypto curious” to those with no prior experience with crypto. Dtravel’s lower fees and decentralized structure can, and should, appeal to anyone looking for more ownership, flexibility, having a voice and rewards in their experience booking or listing short-term rental properties. That said, we believe the earliest adopters will likely be hosts and guests who are at least crypto curious. Since we have a team of contributors who have a lot of experience in home sharing, designing an easy to use and seamless booking experience is key to our product experience, especially on the crypto payments and DAO voting side. Right now, the booking platform is easy to use, just like any other home sharing platform and we're accepting crypto payments only but in 2022, we'll be expanding that to more crypto options as well as fiat payment.
