AMA Recap: CryptoFamily x Listen NFT

On August 16th 2021, our community had a chance to welcome Mr. Tony Hollingsworth - Founder & CEO of Listen NFT to join in an AMA to give fruitful information about the key features and roadmap of Listen NFT, a social Impact #NFTs from the world’s top musicians, artists & creatives to help the world's vulnerable & disadvantaged children. 

This AMA was held by CryptoFamily Group – the top crypto community in Vietnam, where investors and traders can obtain the latest news and signals from bot/ admins, as well as discuss and share investment experiences in the crypto space.

At this AMA, Mr. Tony Hollingsworth - Founder & CEO of Listen NFT directly greeted the community and provided detailed information on Listen NFT as well as some key products, new advanced features and exciting events that will be held in the near future.

PART I: INTRODUCTION OF LISTEN CAMPAIGN

1. First, please make a brief introduction of Listen NFT and the team's background.

Tony: The Listen NFTs are being sold to support The Listen Campaign which is an annual and global media campaign to help the world’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged children.  I’m the founder and director of the campaign and in the past I have produced nine of the world’s largest global broadcast events and campaigns. Each reached over 500m people.  These included one to call for Mandela’s release (Nelson Mandela’s 70th Birthday Tribute) one to celebrate the fall of the Berlin Wall and the reunification of the two Germanies " The Wall Live in Berlin" and one to celebrate Mandela’s release. Many of our team are  media, film and music industry veterans and some are experts in social media and now.....,with the adoption of Listen Token and Listen NFTs we have experts from the blockchain and Crypto world – for instance Liam Robertson who leads the Alphabit Fund who has successfully launched many businesses based on blockchain tech.

2. Please share the roadmap of Listen NFT in the  future. How can you achieve your goals while helping the world’s most underprivileged children?

Tony: The first Listen NFTs that will go on sale in the “Listen Collectibles Auction and Shop” at the beginning of October are from my archive of the past nine global broadcast events.  This archive includes special live performances of about 200 major musicians from Stevie Wonder to Eric Clapton, from David Bowie to Whitney Houston, from Mary J Blige to BB King.  We will be starting the auction of these special NFTs at the beginning of October and carrying on till March 2022.

Then at the end of March 2022 we make the first announcement of the artists participating in the first Listen Campaign and we start auctioning off NFTs made from their contributions. These are top film stars, music stars, visual artists and novelists. There will be 80 that are famous around the whole world and then we add 20 that are big in India, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East. 

As the campaign roles out we ask the community to also create for the campaign and many of these pieces will also be made into NFTs.

The Listen Campaigns goals are helping vulnerable and disadvantaged children around the world.  We do this by creating a global campaign of many different parts – over 62 social media items, an influencer campaign, two TV/Streaming series, two major promotions, a feature documentary , live events, a global streaming event and a global broadcast event.  As part of this we have the “Listen Collectibles Auction and Shop” where people can buy NFTs. This income supports the campaign which asks the public to give donations. We expect an average of $100m/yr in donations. 

However, raising donations is not the only way the campaign helps children. The Listen Campaign also does the communications job that the children’s charity sector cannot do – getting the world to Listen to the problems faced by 1 billion (before Covid) very vulnerable and disadvantaged children and celebrating the solutions that the charity sector has – wonderful projects in the field.

3. Could you please update some hot news or big events to the community in the coming time?

Tony: The Listen Tokens go on sale on Launchpool at the beginning of September and the holders of these get lots of benefits within the “Listen Collectibles Auction and Shop” and other benefits within the broader campaign. Then from October we start to auction off NFTs made from my archive and these take place every few weeks till we get to the end of March when we announce the stars involved in The Listen Campaign and we start to auction off NFTs of them.  

Holding $LSTN tokens provides benefits in the annual Listen Campaign – discounts on NFTs in the auction and shop, entries into highly exclusive prize draws, Listen Points rewards, voting rights etc. And we  will add more surprises.  Plus the Listen Campaign is perhaps the only NFT platform that has its supply of NFTs as a steady stream.  Once the first campaign has been launched on March 30th 2022 people will start to see the scale of the campaign and the demand for $LSTN will rise.  By the time the first full year has run the demand should be great.

PART 2: PRE-COLLECTED QUESTIONS FROM TWITTER

1. "In which parts of the world Listen is focused on helping through its charitable model? What percentage of your tokenomics has been allocated to this noble cause? Why did you decide to adopt NFTs as the ideal medium to achieve this goal? Why not adopt other assets?" - @TheShadowJK_1

Tony: Thats four questions in one☺️

The Listen Campaign helps vulnerable and disadvantaged children around the whole world and in three ways. Firstly,  The Listen Charity plans to give 75 grants in the first year to children’s projects around the world. These are mostly in poor countries but some are in poor communities in rich countries.  Secondly the campaign allows the world to Listen to the problems faced by these children and to celebrate the children’s projects that are helping them. Thirdly we are putting in place a global community of supporters. 

37% of the tokens have been allocated to helping support and develop the Listen Campaign.  The public then responds to the campaign in different ways but one is by giving donations and 100% of their donations goes out to the 75 children’s charity projects. 

Listen is fuelled by Star Creative Artists and the creativity of its community – “Citizen Artists” . Their art, performances and creations make wonderful NFTs which can provide additional income for the campaign. They have a much lower carbon footprint than conventional merchandise. 

We are using lots of different assets within the campaign – ticketing to “Listen Live” at the LA Coliseum (one of the biggest stadiums in the world), sponsorships, music, conventional merchandising, global streaming event etc.

2. "Listen NFT has a very meaningful mission. Charity development has begun following the Listen NFT roadmap. Do you have a charity that you can donate to? What countries are these organizations from and how much have you allocated to charitable contributions?" - @ThngHon58502880

Tony: We will open the donation line to The Listen Charity at the end of the year.  It will give to 75 children’s projects around the world. Many have already been selected but are going through the last stages of due diligence. They will then be announced in January, February and March 2022.  The proceeds of the NFTs fund the media campaign and the surplus goes to The Listen Charity.  100% of the public's donations in response to the campaign go to the Listen Charity and out to the children’s projects.

3. "How do Listen NFT plan to attract celebrities and get their consent towards creation of NFTs based on them ? Do you have any major celebrities showing interest in your platform? What do they gain from creation of NFTs in their name?" - @Lidiamga

Tony: We have 80 major film stars, musicians, visual artists and novelists interested in getting involved. They will be filmed on location, or rehearse and perform, or create for the campaign. We are then making NFTs from their contributions. The stars do not gain anything from the creation of the NFTs – they are giving these rights (along with other rights) to support the campaign for vulnerable and disadvantaged children.

4. "The Listen Campaign limited edition digital collectibles will be created (“minted”) as NFTs on the Flow blockchain. Why did you choose Flow ecosystem over BSC, ETH which is most popular in NFT creations?" - @MesutGunerri

Tony: We chose Flow because it is faster, more scalable, and far more energy efficient (“greener”) than Ethereum. Additionally, users who buy, sell, and trade Listen NFTs on Flow will not have to pay high transaction fees like on Ethereum. A third contributing factor is the ability to natively-integrate fiat payments, as the Campaign is appealing to a global audience, we did not want to restrict our user experience to only those who own ETH and already have an Ethereum wallet.

5. "You comment that in a decade, the Listen campaign should activate a community of 35 million participants. That's a huge goal! How exactly do you expect to gather such a large number of people around your project? How do you expect to reach so many people?" - @PKragak

Tony: Yes we expect to reach 500m each year through the global media campaign and recruit a % each year. At the end of the first year we expect 12 million active participants and it will grow by about 3 million a year and reach 35 million in a decade.  The Zenith of each year's campaign is the global fundraising broadcast “Listen Live Plus” to 100s of millions ....probably 500 million as with my past campaigns.😎

PART 3 - LIVE QUESTIONS

1. Marketing is a central element for every project, so that everyone knows the potential that a project can bring is vital to achieve the goals set. What is your strategy to attract new users and Investor to your project and keep them long term?

Tony: Hi Selena,  at first we are selling $LSTN tokens and we are running an extensive influencer campaign then we market with Launchpool , we then go to public IDO and then shortly afterwards we launch the Listen Collectibles Auction site and start to sell the back catalogue of NFTs. During this time we continue marketing each auction. Then on March 30th 2022we launch  the main Listen Campaign and it is a market machine itself.

2. Many investors hit and run in the sell and sell session after listing on the first exchange, How did your project prevent early investors from selling their tokens and what benefits you would give them?

Tony: All of our investors are interested in the long term reward. We stop hit and run by vesting our tokens in stages over time. Also the longer you hold your token the more Listen Points you get and the more benefits you receive.

4. I think NFT is really popular topic for now, what is your opinion regarding NFT?

Tony: Yes the market for NFTs is growing very quickly and there have been over 2 billion dollars of sales.  Its an area that will grow and grow as people love to collect items. Especially those that will grow in value over time.

5. Partnership is always an important factor for every project. So who is your partner? What are the benefits you get from those relationships?

Tony: Yes partnerships are very important  and we have many.  Our broadcast partners are giants like ABC/Disney/Hulu in the US, Zee in India, DMI in MENA and Viacom in Sub Saharan Africa.  Our investors in $LSTN are lead by Alphabit Fund and the next round of sales is on Launchpool after which we will go onto one of the big exchanges.  We have many marketing and production partners - some with exciting new technologies creating virtual studios in which our stars and artists are interviewed.
