On December 6th 2021, our community had a chance to welcome Mr. Roy Liu - Co-founder of Syn City to join an AMA to deliver fruitful information about the key features and roadmap of the project.
This AMA was held by CryptoFamily Group – the top crypto community in Vietnam, where investors and traders can obtain the latest news and signals from bot/ admins, as well as discuss and share investment experiences in the crypto space.

PART I: INTRODUCTION OF SYN CITY:
1. Could you briefly describe what is SynCity and how it works?
Mr. Roy Liu: Sure, happy to share. SYN CITY is the first ever Mafia Metaverse! Featuring a cutting-edge gaming engine, bridging the gap between real-world non-fungible token (NFT) utilities and decentralized finance (DeFi) functions. Displaying a stylized take on the world of modern syndicates, SYN CITY takes this concept a step further by making the game free-to-play — play-to-earn, and truly making the Metaverse more accessible. Players can grind in daily events, PvE, PvP, and Syndicate events such as cross-chain tournaments. The game is developed by a team of industry experts from Disney, Ubisoft, Roblox, EA, Gameloft, Google, Yahoo and Twitter.
2. Please share with us the mission and vision of SynCity in the near future. What is its ultimate goal currently?
Mr. Roy Liu: SYN CITY provides the canvas for participants to participate, build, operate and contribute towards the expansion of the Metaverse. SYN CITY also wants to ensure everyone can be a part of and thrive within the metaverse and the only way this can be achieved is by bringing the Free-2-Play into Play-2-Earn. The new mafia metaverse will also be free to play for everyone. It’s not fair to ask people to pay $1000 hard-earned money before they can play or earn from the game. This is the crypto era and we want everyone to have an equal right to be able to play-and-earn. If Call Of Duty can become free-to-play, why can’t crypto games? SYN CITY introduces the unique governance system called Mafia-as-a-DAO or MaaD. Users can form their syndicates to play and earn together, by earning through events, investing in the business and ecosystem, or participating in governance. We will also kick-off cross-chain Mafia wars because we are chaing agnostic and want to collaborate with communities from all over.
3. Would you mind updating any hot news or big events of SynCity to attract more new users?

Gaming and DeFi are popping up everywhere. Many project are offering NFTs aswel. Please explain why #SynCityHQ will be one to survive and not fade away in this market? How do you keep users/ investor on your platform for the long term and how do you keep SynCityHQ ahead of the competition?
Mr. Roy Liu: SYN CITY is not simply a game, it is multiple layers or the Metaverse. We are building the #MafiaMetaverse that will be controlled by our Mafia as a DAO system which will include continual upgrades, implementations, and real-world collaborations. These will enable both SYN CITY #MafiaMetaverse to be a remaining figure within Crypto and the gaming sphere for years to come. SYN CITY as a game has been in development for more than 2 years, as such are already ahead of our competition and will soon be launching our highly anticipated game. We will keep users and investors engaged and coming back for more through first the challenging and stimulating gameplay, the continual revenue stream and syndicate inclusion that will help to drive community within the game.

What do I need to start playing the game of their #SynCityHQ ecosystem, that is, they require some initial investment to be able to play, e.g. to buy useful items of the game or this game generates the same opportunities to play for those who have and do not have money?
Mr. Roy Liu: SYN CITY is an action-adventure RPG game in which the players acquire, manage, trade, and expand members of their syndicate. Displaying a stylized take on the world of modern crime, SYN CITY takes this concept a step further by making the game Free to Play where you can Play to Earn. We are making the metaverse more accessible by enabling anyone to play with baseline characters and in game items that are free except mint cost. In addition to the base-line characters and assets, other in-game assets will be able to be acquired through in-game PVP, PVE battles,Syndicate cross-chain tournaments, and purchasable with in-game currency.

How many characters are there in #SynCityHQ and how the game is designed, could you tell us about the main features and give us some details of each of them, from the ways in which we can generate profits and the Marketplace that you have designed for the game?
Mr. Roy Liu: The Mafia is always growing. Players can grind their way up through daily missions, events, battles, and much more. Manage your own syndicate, assign tasks, and govern to collect taxes. Build your business empire and earn assets by building, owning businesses, looting, raiding, trading, farming, borrowing/lending, and other services. Manage your own turf, build businesses on the turf, and battle other criminal syndicates for world domination! Fight the biggest, baddest, most geared-out criminal syndicates in various PvE, PvP, and syndicate events to progress in the metaverse. Syndicate leaders will have to strategize to find and make use of the most lucrative revenue generating structures within the game, or potentially lose their place at the head of the table.

Why did you choose the ETH network for minting? Do think its expensive fee is a barrier for everyone to mint SYN PASS? Are you planning to switch to other cheaper blockchain?
Mr. Roy Liu: SYN CITY will be chain agnostic and we will continue working with and across various ecosystems in the form of parallel universes within #mafiametaverse. We released a free genesis mint collection on Ethereum and just announced our Limited Edition Blueprints on Binance in partnership with Binance NFT. We will continue to expand across multiple-chains and continue build the cross-chain tournaments. As a team we are very conscious of the expense involved with transacting on certain networks and will always look for ways to enable everyone to play and participate.

Many projects promise a lot but do not bring satisfaction to holders, investors. During the process of project implementation, game release, do SynCity consider feedback from users to improve the quality of the game as well as improve it's product?
Mr. Roy Liu: 100%. Our team strongly believes that community is one of the most important factor of the #MafiaMetaverse and for that reason we are introducing the revolutionary MAFIA as a DAO. SYN CITY will be governed by our unique Mafia as a DAO (MaaD) system. This will allow the players and community members to help decide the future of the Mafia metaverse like never before. We are only 2 weeks old (since going live) and our Discord user counts has already reached 57,000 organic members.
